Phonescouped record-shot of Great White Egret.
I got accidentally day of at Monday 14th of April. Just when we were going outdoors with my daughter Mimosa, RBA told about Great White Egret in the nearby Preiviikinlahti-bay. We went for it and found it immidetialy feeding quite far away. It was yellow-billed individual so probably immature (2-3cy) bird. This was the first individual around this year but probably not the last one as the species has been enjoying steady increase in recent years.

Eurasian Treecreeper at Lamppi rapids, Pori, Finland.
We checked the Enäjärvi-lake briefly but the Tufted Duck flock haven't changed too much, a single female Greater Scaup was still hanging with Tufteds and I was wondering if there's going to be some hybrid offspring later...
Back to our original plan we drove to Lamppi rapids to search for treasures, like shiny bottle caps, for coffee break and to check if there were any Grey Wagtails present.
It was calm, sunny and extraordinary warm at Lamppi rapids. As a proof I got year-ticks from Common Lizard, Brimstone and Comma Butterflies (hope the English names are correct) and from Mimosas outdoor naps. No signs of Grey Wagtails, but it didn't really matter.
